Our generic terms and conditions for our Experiences are as per below.

Terms and Conditions

1. Payments
•    Bookings made more than 30 days prior to departure are required to pay a AUD 50% deposit per person to secure the booking
•    Bookings made 30 days or less prior to departure are required to make full payment to secure the booking
•    Bookings made more than 365 days priors to departure are required to pay a AUD 25% deposit per person to secure the booking. Please get in touch directly.
•    Payments can be made online using a VISA or Mastercard and incur a 1.6% credit card fee. Please contact us to discuss alternative options.
•    There is the option to pay the full amount upfront, or pay a 50% deposit to secure your place at time of booking. The balance is due 30 days prior to departure.

2. Cancellations
•    For cancellations made more than 90 days prior to departure, a fee of $350 per person will be charged;
•    For cancellations made between 60 to 90 days of departure, a fee of 50% of the full rate will be charged;
•    For cancellations made within 60 days of departure, no refund is available; however, you may be able to postpone your booking.
•    No refund will be paid if you voluntarily leave your ride after it has commenced. No refund will be paid if you need to leave the ride for reasons of bereavement, injury or illness.

3. Cancellations By Company
All of our rides take place in the setting of the natural landscape. We are at the mercy of nature in all her beauty and all her fury. We will under no circumstance knowingly place at risk the health and wellbeing of our guests and Experience Leaders. We may need to cancel a ride with very little notice. In some cases, this can occur after the ride has commenced. If we need to cancel a ride departure for any reason, we will provide you with the following options:
•    We can hold a lifetime credit towards an alternative booking departure date, including a guarantee that there will be no additional charges for the future ride;
•    Provide a replacement ride that complements your existing travel arrangements (subject to availability), or;
•    Provide a replacement ride at a later date convenient to both parties.

Where your ride is cancelled by Blue Derby Pods Ride, we will not be liable for any costs associated with travel to and from the designated ride departure pick up point. We therefore strongly recommend travel insurance be taken out at the time of booking

4. Reschedules
•    For reschedules made more than 90 days prior to departure, a fee of $150 per person will be charged;
•    For reschedules made between 60 to 90 days of departure, a fee of $550 per person will be charged;
•    Reschedules cannot be made within 60 days of departure, as no refund is available; however, you may be able to postpone your booking, and pay a rebooking fee, please get in touch with us directly in this situation.

5. COVID-19
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride reserve the right to request a guest take a random temperature check, isolate, or any other medical checks relating to C-19 at any time during their Experience.
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride is not liable for any costs associated with a guest requiring medical checks, tests, hotel quarantine or any other requirements relating to C-19.

6. Minimum Numbers
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride have the right to postpone or cancel a trip is guest numbers are below 4 per trip at any point leading up to your trip departure date.

7. Health and Safety
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride respects and adheres to Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol Legislation. In doing so, BDPR have the right to refuse supply of alcohol to guests in the interest of health and safety.
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride follow COVID-19 safe practices.
•    Guests with a pre-existing medical condition, including allergies, are required to disclose it on their booking form and may be required to supply a doctor’s certificate or complete a confidential medical questionnaire.
•    Guests who are 69 years of age or older, at the time of departure, may be asked to supply a doctor’s certificate, no later than 90 days prior to departure, stating that they are in good physical condition and that there are no known ailments or pre-existing medical conditions likely to prevent them from completing the walk.

8. Emergencies
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride highly recommends guests take our their own travel insurance.
•    Blue Derby Pods Ride is not liable for any costs associated with a potential emergency and has the right to pass on a $300 emergency evacuation fee.

9. Damages
•    In the case of an accident/crash where a bike is damaged, Blue Derby Pods Ride has the right to pass on any additional costs associated with this accident/crash to the guests.
•    If a guest chooses select the 'Pods Bike Peace Of Mind' extra, Blue Derby Pods Ride will cover any accidental/crash bikes damage up to $500. Over $500 worth of damage and Blue Derby Pods Ride has the right to pass on all costs to the guest. 
•    'Pods Bike Peace Of Mind' extra is not transferable between guests.

10. Database
•    By adding your email to your booking you are confirming your subscription to our database.
•    Your data will be stored securely and confidentially.
