Nestled in the heart of the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Trails network, your accommodation is private, unique and literally on the door step of the trails. You’ll dine in a central hub building that peeks through the copse of Tasmanian Blackwood trees and down to the Cascade River Valley below. After each evening of fine Tasmanian food and wine, laughter and relaxation, you will retire to your unique, architecturally-designed quarters; a Pod.

The Blue Derby Pods Ride accommodation Pods are certainly an element of our experience that sets us apart. Secluded within Tasmanian bush setting, your Pod sleeps two people. The curved walls give a cosiness to the beautifully crafted space, and as you lie back of an evening, you’ll look directly out to the tree canopy around you, and to the stars above on a clear night. Sleeping in our Pods is an experience in itself.
The Hub
The Hub is our central dining, wining, bathing and bike storage area. Architecturally-designed to align with the distinctiveness of the Pods, the hub is hidden away, looking down the Cascade Valley in the middle of the Blue Derby Mountain Bike Network. Here you can finish your day with a hot shower, sit by the roaring fire, sip a Tasmanian wine or beer on the deck and indulge in a crafted local feast prepared by our Experience Leaders.
Blue Derby Pods Ride combines three-day mountain biking tours with spectacular food and wine, plus accommodation in one of four wooden pods, which rise out of the mossy forest like newly germinated seeds... Come bedtime, I feel like an elf living deep in the heart of the forest.
