Depending on your individual circumstances, you may wish to bring your mountain bike. However, if you don’t feel that you own a mountain bike of sufficient specification or state of repair to use on the Blue Derby Pods Ride Experience, you may wish to use our complimentary mountain bikes as part of the Blue Derby Pods Ride.
Mountain Bike Hire
What type of mountain bikes do we have on offer?
We work with Specialized to ensure you can ride a dual suspension mountain bike that will keep any level of rider feeling comfortable and in control.
We are currently running a mixed fleet of Specialized Stumpjumper Comp Carbons and Comp Alloy, 27.5 and 29 wheel sizes, which are considered among the best handling, most efficient and comfortable trail bikes on the market. If we can't source a Specialized Stumpjumper we will work to get a different brand of the same standard.
When will I be able to pick up my mountain bike?
We'll have your bike with us when your group meets on the first morning of your trip departure. Your Experience Leaders are trained to tailor your exact bike fit and suspension setup before we set off.
What about if I would like an e-bike?
We are able to organise an e-bike for you to hire as an additional extra to your Experience. We hire a mix of e-bike brands but most commonly hire Specialized Levos. You can add an e-bike hire when going through our booking process online.
How do I book a mountain bike?
As part of the Blue Derby Pods Ride online booking process, you will have the option to book one of our complimentary mountain bikes. Alternatively, you can contact Blue Derby Pods Ride to make any enquiries about the bike you wish to ride for your Experience.
